Untold Stories

Heartwarming pink flamingo transformations across the Caribbean and beyond – made possible by your generosity.

The Man In The Mountains

A husband. A father. A son. A ministry leader. He spent his life showing up for others. But on that mountain, someone showed up for him.

I had shared my story on the way up. How God led me through people-pleasing, burnout, and the weight of trying to be everything for everyone. How lives were transformed because I was learning to hear and respond to God’s voice. He listened intently, asking question after question. But as we prepared to descend the mountain, God spoke to me: Ask him about his story.

So I did. And my heart shattered.

This man, this stranger I had only just met, carried so much pain in silence. No one had ever truly seen him. Right there, in the middle of the forest, God told me to do something unthinkable. Hug him.

I asked for permission. He nodded. And as I wrapped my arms around him, he wept. I told him, I’m sorry for all you’ve faced. And then, I listened some more.

By the time we reached the bottom of the mountain, he said something that changed everything: I’m ready to reach out to your therapist.

A few weeks later, he started therapy. And things began to change.

His marriage. His career. His confidence. His ministry. Piece by piece, healing took root. And it all started with a story – a story and therapy resources that reached him because of you.

Because of you, moments like this happen. Because when you donate, people like this guy get a free copy of the book and funds go to a therapist who helps people like this guy.

As you can see, your donation is not just making a difference today – it’s helping to build a brighter future for the Caribbean community. When you give, you’re not just supporting a message – you’re making space for the unseen to be seen, for the unheard to be heard, and for healing to begin in the most unexpected places.

You’re changing lives. You’re strengthening marriages, restoring purpose, and reigniting faith in places you may never step foot in – but God does.

The Grieving Widow

I was nervous. I knew what God had asked me to do, but still – approaching a grieving widow, a stranger, in the aftermath of her husband’s murder? That felt heavy.

But I obeyed.

She was open. As we talked, she poured out everything calmly – her disbelief, her anger, her reluctant acceptance. I listened, knowing God had led me to this moment. Then He whispered: Ask to pray with her.

My breath locked in my throat as I asked for permission to pray. She looked at me. Then nodded.

Moments later, I reached for her hands. As we prayed, she broke down sobbing.

Then, another instruction: Ask if she has eaten. Invite her to share a meal with you. So, we ate, and through every bite, I shared my own story—of people-pleasing, burning out, and the road back to Him. She listened, and for the first time, she shared hers too.

When we parted ways, she looked at me and said, I’m getting your book.

And she did weeks later. She read In Search of the Pink Flamingo twice in a matter of hours. And in those pages, something shifted. She gave her life back to Christ.

But it didn’t stop there. She bought 11 copies, passing them on to family and friends, knowing they too needed the hope she had found.

This is what your generosity makes possible. Because of you, moments like this happen. Because when you donate, people like this woman gets a free copy of the book or resources that change their lives. One book became a ripple of restoration. One transformed life easily becomes twelve lives transformed.

When you donate to send one person to therapy or sponsor an emotional wellness workshop, one life is changed. And that one life changed becomes many communities and lives changed.

Battling Suicidal Thoughts

It was a life-or-death moment. And I almost missed it.

God told me to reach out to her. At first, it was just a nudge. But then, His voice became clear: Text her now.

A few texts later the instructions changed. This is life and death. Call her now.

I didn’t hesitate.

When she answered, she tried to sound okay. But I could hear it – the weight, the exhaustion, the quiet ache of someone who had been battling alone for far too long.

So, I listened. The weight of anxiety and suicidal thoughts had pulled her deep into the dark.

And then, as God directed me, I spoke. I shared parts of my testimony – stories of feeling unseen. Stories of hating myself. Stories of feeling unloved. Stories of striving for success and needing to be in control. Stories of people-pleasing and striving for perfectionism until I burned out.

We talked for six hours. Six hours of truth, hope, and love poured into her. Six hours that changed everything. By the time we hung up, something had shifted.

“I feel lighter,” she said. “For the first time in a long time, I have hope.”

I heard it in her voice. I felt it in her energy.

She walked away from that conversation with joy. With hope. With a future she now believes is worth living.

Weeks later she purchased a copy of In Search of the Pink Flamingo and experienced that hope again. You do get it! You do see me.

This is what your generosity makes possible. It creates space for hope to meet the hopeless, for a single conversation to become a lifeline, for someone who thought they were alone to realize—God sees and loves them.

That’s the power of what you make possible. When you give, you’re not just funding a ministry – you’re giving someone the time, the truth, and the love they need to keep going.

This is what your generosity makes possible. When you donate, people like this woman gets a free copy of the book and resources that change their lives. One book brings light to more dark places.

When you donate to send one person to therapy or sponsor an emotional wellness workshop, more people like this woman receive the emotional support they need. And when one life is changed, many communities and more lives are changed.

Not Sure I Believe In God Anymore...

She wasn’t sure she believed in God anymore.

After years of church hurt and feeling like God had abandoned her, she wasn’t sure what to believe anymore. So, she chose to rely on herself. She worked hard, held onto her values, and gave everything she had to others – often at the expense of her own well-being. A people-pleaser burning out, trying to make life work on her own terms.

And then, she read In Search of the Pink Flamingo.

For the first time in a long time, she felt seen. Understood. Like someone had put words to the struggles she carried alone. And in that moment, she wondered – Maybe God could do the same for me. He did it for Chanel.

That moment changed everything. She decided to take tiny steps back toward faith – opening her Bible again, searching for God’s hand in her day-to-day life. And through those small steps, God did what she never expected. He led her to open a business – one she never would have pursued without His direction. He began restoring broken relationships, redeeming lost time, and showing up in ways she never thought possible.

Over time, she gave her life fully back to Him, ready to walk the path He called her to in business, in life, in everything. She returned to her therapy journey to deal with the habits that held her bound.

This is what your generosity makes possible. When you donate books or give financial or in-kind donations, you’re not just supporting a ministry. You’re helping people rediscover their faith, their purpose, and the God who never left them.

One Book... 80+ Lives

She couldn’t stop crying.

Page after page, it felt like the words in In Search of the Pink Flamingo were speaking directly to her – like someone had finally put language to the struggles she had carried alone for so long.

But this time, she didn’t just feel seen. She felt equipped.

The practical exercises in the book showed her a different way – a path out of the cycles she thought she was stuck in. Blindspot cycles that hurt her, but she couldn’t see before. She gained the courage to take action. She decided to go to therapy, to finally face the things that had been weighing her down.

But she didn’t stop there.

She believed the message of the book was too powerful to keep to herself. So, she took another bold step—donating over 80 copies so others could experience the same breakthrough. So, people she may never meet—could experience the same breakthrough.

This is the kind of transformation your generosity makes possible. This is what your generosity ignites. One life changed becomes many…even 80. One healing heart sparks healing for others.

When you give, you’re not just funding a ministry or supporting Caribbean emotional wellness. You are not just giving away books. You’re helping people step into healing, clarity, and a future they never thought was possible.
