Your wickedness has deprived you of these wonderful blessings. Your sin has robbed you of all these good things.
Application:
I recently read a story of a champion swimmer who met in an accident, a month before a major swim meet. The accident left the swimmer with a broken leg, a dead friend and a guilty conscience. The sad thing is that this could all have been avoided. The accident was due to a terrible choice, drunk driving. The accident nearly cost the swimmer her future and cost her the chance of anchoring her team to victory.
Like that swimmer, we often shoot ourselves in the foot or put a spanner in the timing of our purpose fulfilment when we allow the things we shouldn’t do, sin and wickedness, to run rampant in our lives. God cannot bless us the way He wants to if we are full of wickedness and locked off from Him. He cannot bestow the good things upon us if we allow sin to reign in our lives. Sin and wickedness do not mix with God. If you want the full extent of the blessings and good things God have in store for you, you have a choice to make. Sin and wickedness OR God? You cannot have both.
