Application:
Have you ever witnessed anyone who receives a gift, that they have wanted or needed, yet fails to open or use it? Moments like those are rare in the earthly realm! In fact, like a kid on Christmas morning, we are normally quick to unwrap our earthly gifts, oftentimes tearing the wrapping in our haste to get to the treasure it hides.
God likes to give us good gifts yet we are oftentimes slow to claim and utilize what He has given us. The Israelites were gifted Canaan. Canaan was under their control. Yet, instead of immediately claiming and utilizing the portion of the gift that was given to them, some of the tribes had to be urged by Joshua to make a move and take possession.
How many spiritual gifts have you been given? How many talents have you been slow to put to use? How many good gifts have our Father given to you that you have yet to claim? Today, I am your Joshua. Make good use of your gifts! Claim and partake of the land that God have given you.
