Bible in 365 Days – Day 136

DAY 136

Focus Chapters:

  • Psalms 144-145
  • Psalms 88-89

Standout Verse(s):

Psalms 89:9 NLT

You rule the oceans.
You subdue their storm-tossed waves.

Observation (s):

  1. God rules and has control over all elements and habitants of the sea.

    You rule the oceans.
        You subdue their storm-tossed waves.

  2. Application:

DC Universe’s mythical Aquaman is the Lord of the seas. The true ruler of Atlantis and King of the Seven Seas, Aquaman can control all ocean elements and creatures no matter where in the ocean he is. He is also known for controlling water, even on land, mastering tumultuous waves and stopping tsunamis.

God is the real-life version of Aquaman. However, His realm is not limited to the seas. God is the ruler of all things. When we acknowledge His rulership and place Him at the helm of our lives, we give Him permission to rule our lives. A part of that control gives Him the right to subdue any storm-tossed waves that upset the pace of our daily lives, purpose or destinies. Through His intervention, the disaster and havoc, that these waves can wreck, are averted.

Thus, with God at the helm of our lives, we can rest safely in the eye of any storm.

Hi, I`m Chañel. I used to be a people-pleaser who gave 200% because of my love for people. As a result, I almost lost my mind and my life. Today, my goal is to make sure people stop putting themselves last. And, if possible, never experience what I went through!
