So Solomon finished the Temple of the Lord, as well as the royal palace. He completed everything he had planned to do in the construction of the Temple and the palace.
Application:
We go through life in a state of urgency. There always seems to be a lot to be done with so little time to get things done. Consequently, we tend to do tradeoffs, with matters of God drawing the short straw that gets tossed to the bottom of our daily to-do lists.
Solomon had two major projects to undertake as his first acts as king. This included building his palace and God’s Temple. Instead of putting the building of the Temple at the bottom of his list, he chose to get it started first. He prioritized God! And you know what? In due season, Solomon completed all that he had planned to accomplish for both the Temple and his palace.
In moments of urgency, stop, take a deep breath and don’t forget God. Put prayer and God’s time first. Start God’s matters/projects first. When you handle God’s business first, He will handle yours and all you had planned will be accomplished.
