Bible in 365 Days – Day 149

DAY 149

Focus Chapters:

  • Proverbs 8-10

Standout Verse(s):

Proverbs 10:16 NLT

The earnings of the godly enhance their lives,
but evil people squander their money on sin.

Observation (s):

  1. The earnings and rewards of the godly enhance their lives.

    The earnings of the godly enhance their lives,
    but evil people squander their money on sin.

  2. The earnings of the wicked is used to facilitate sin.

    The earnings of the godly enhance their lives,
    but evil people squander their money on sin.

Application:

The earnings in Proverbs can be used to refer to both literal wages earned from physical labour or the figurative earnings such as the rewards/outcomes of our efforts.

Your lifestyle determines the earnings you receive and the impact they have on your life. A godly and righteous person who follows God’s direction is rewarded with earnings that enhance their lives. This enhancement benefits them and others and can be used to bring life to those around them. On the other hand, the ungodly is led by their desires and, as such, is often rewarded with outcomes or wages that serve as supplements to their sinful lifestyle, a sure way to death.

Where do you fit? Does your literal and figurative earnings enhance your life or is merely a by-product of and facilitator to your sinful nature?

Hi, I`m Chañel. I used to be a people-pleaser who gave 200% because of my love for people. As a result, I almost lost my mind and my life. Today, my goal is to make sure people stop putting themselves last. And, if possible, never experience what I went through!
