Bible in 365 Days – Day 192

DAY 192

Focus Chapters:

  • Psalms 115-118

Standout Verse(s):

Psalms 118:8 NLT

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people.

Observation(s)

  1. Taking refuge in God is better than placing trust in people.

    It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people.

Application:

My sister and I dubbed June-July 2019 as the months when “men are bound to fail”. This is because over the course of these two months, we have experienced multiple cases when persons in our lives have failed us, failing to deliver on what they had committed to. I can’t help but feel grateful that God is not like man. He has never failed us and is worthy of gaining our trust.

A refuge is considered to be a place or situation that provides shelter or safety from pursuit, danger, or difficulty. We cannot always depend on man to provide refuge, but God is a constant source of refuge to anyone who needs it. He is a Father to the fatherless. A House for the homeless. A Bridge over troubled waters. A staunch Protector in the face of trouble. A Refuge in the barren wilderness. Won’t you trust Him today?

Hi, I`m Chañel. I used to be a people-pleaser who gave 200% because of my love for people. As a result, I almost lost my mind and my life. Today, my goal is to make sure people stop putting themselves last. And, if possible, never experience what I went through!
