Bible in 365 Days – Day 56

Day 56 - Once we establish a convenant with God, our non-adherence to the convenant comes with consequences.

Focus Chapters:

  • Leviticus 25:24-55
  • Leviticus 26

Standout Verse(s):

Leviticus 26:14-17 NLT

“However, if you do not listen to me or obey all these commands, and if you break my covenant by rejecting my decrees, treating my regulations with contempt, and refusing to obey my commands, I will punish you. I will bring sudden terrors upon you—wasting diseases and burning fevers that will cause your eyes to fail and your life to ebb away. You will plant your crops in vain because your enemies will eat them. I will turn against you, and you will be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you will rule over you, and you will run even when no one is chasing you!

Observation (s):

  1. Once we establish a covenant with God, our non-adherence to the covenant comes with consequences.

    “However, if you do not listen to me or obey all these commands, and if you break my covenant by rejecting my decrees, treating my regulations with contempt, and refusing to obey my commands, I will punish you.

Application:

Every action has a negative or positive reaction. The first and only time I ever got a whooping from my mom was because my sister and I got into a physical fight. In doing so, I broke the house rule of the elder one knowing better than to fight with her siblings. I broke the rule and I was punished.

God, as our Father and Leader, has similar expectations of us. As His children, when we willfully break our covenant with Him and step out of line, rejecting His decrees and treating His regulations with contempt, we invite upon ourselves His punishments. What will be the results of your action?

Hi, I`m Chañel. I used to be a people-pleaser who gave 200% because of my love for people. As a result, I almost lost my mind and my life. Today, my goal is to make sure people stop putting themselves last. And, if possible, never experience what I went through!
