This post is kind of a continuation of my last post.
Last night, during the discussion, my friend said something that I found myself musing about. She said, “God understands everything that we experience.” I didn’t think much about that statement when it was made because at that point I kept thinking about how lonely I felt and how people always seemed to want something from me but never truly need me.
As I was walking to work this morning, God reminded me of something. He reminded me that He has experienced that feeling for thousands of years! When Jesus was on earth, people flocked to Him, not because they needed Him for Him but because they wanted what He could give them. The healings, the fish and bread, etc. These were the same people who yelled that He be crucified!! The same ones He had helped and who had followed Him around daily for some reason or another, wanted Him dead for no reason at all.
Even today, He is not sought for Him. Many of us seek Him for the house that He will bless us with, the car, the husband, the healing, the job, the education, the material things…. Even I on occasions have been guilty of seeking Him for the wrong reasons. Some of us are still the same ones who deny and crucify Him afresh with our actions, words and deeds.
I was again awed and amazed. He truly understood what I had been feeling. He had already been touched with the feelings of my infirmities.
As I am writing this, the Lord reminded me of one more thing. He reminded me of my daily Bible reading for Sunday (I didn’t read it until Monday):
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Hebrews 4:15
With that reminder, my Father, had already reassured me before I even realized that I needed reassurance. He had already comforted me before I realized I needed comfort. God truly does understands and have your back. My Father, Daddy Jesus, cares.

God is so good and it becomes so easy to forget what that actually means as we get distracted with the things in our world.
I also like how you pointed out the fact that sometimes we search God for all the wrong reasons.
I once had someone ask me “Why do you serve God?”
I then began to list things like, because He gave me life, because He saved me from the lost and lonely world I was in, because He has blessed me with safety and protection, etc. All of many reasons that any of us would probably list.
As I continued listing reasons, she kept ackowledging my answers but she did so as if she was looking for one answer in particular. She told me, “all the reasons you’ve said are good and are good reasons to serve Him – but there is one answer in particular I’m looking for.”
I spent about 15-30minutes thinking about what that answer could possibly be and then she told me (since I couldn’t get it myself). She said, “all the reasons you gave are really good and should be reasons to serve Him but you also need to remember that because He gave His entire life for you to live your own.”
Bam.
It took me a while to actually soak in what that meant, and then I began to ponder upon it and embrace it.
Similar to what you said, sometimes we seek or serve God for all the wrong reasons that come to have a selfish root. We often forget that if it wasn’t for His grace and love of giving us His only beggotten son, we wouldn’t be alive (spirtually) and we wouldn’t be able to reconcile with Him. He endured all pains, temptations, aches that we ourselves come across at times now. And he did it all, for the love he had for us.
So how can we ever repay Him back? If we forget that one and simple reasons, that He gave everything He was to live a life with us – we will never get tired of serving and searching for Him.
Ps. I think I just gave myself a blog post idea. lol
Happy blogging, cheers!

Lol. The song that comes to mind is Such Love
Who sings it? š
It’s actually a hymn. The chorus goes like this: “Such love, such wondrous love, Such love such wondrous, That God should love, a sinner such I, How wonderful is love like this.”
Wish I found it as easy as u do
He speaks to you too. You just have to learn to recognize the voice.
Isn’t that the greatest thing about the God we serve? How loving and patient He is that even when we forget He is right there understanding everything we’ve been through.
He is truly truly amazing
