Let your eagle SOAR!

Eagle

About a year ago someone hugged me tightly and said, “You know what you remind me of? An eagle! Girl, go forth and whatever you do, spread your wings and soar!”

At the time I didn’t think much of it but as I sit back and do some introspection, I can truly say that God has been demonstrating to me how to unfurl and use my wings.

One thing I have learned is that God allows every incident in your life to happen to teach/prepare you. A few years ago I had a bad case of stage fright whenever I spoke in public. I also felt that my ability to write had been nullified. I was left empty. But this is something you need to know. Sometimes, when God intends to bless you, He slowly empties you. He begins to remove any impediments to your blessing. Only then will He begin to fill you up.

Since then, I started teaching. I taught in a variety of arenas. He opened doors for me to teach English Language, Information Technology and Sunday School. He had me appointed in a church post that put me directly at the microphone more Sundays than not. My areas of ministry grew! He had began to work on my fear of public speaking without me even realizing it.

Since that time a lot of things have happened that I didn’t even realize that God has been slowly but carefully preparing me for. I ended up doing a radio interview and being the guest speaker for a cause I am in full support of. God awed me because I experienced no lingering nervousness and He was my Rock throughout. He had taken care of my fear!

He also began to renew my passion for writing and much to my surprise, I found myself submitting articles to be published without being forced to write. Two of my articles have since been published! From one of these articles, I was given the opportunity to do a television interview. Again God amazed me! I experienced no fear and even enjoyed talking about what I love.

The point of my rambling? When you allow God to work in your life, He will help to activate all your hidden potentials!

He will help you to find your wings and learn to fly! Mine are unfurling…I can fly! Why? Because I’m assured that I have a steady and unfailing Wind beneath my wings.
