I got married on February 15!!!
I stopped trying to earn love, make it happen and waited on God’s best. After years of healing and submission, He gave me the husband He promised.
Our dating, courtship, and engagement phase lasted exactly four months. I married the man God gave me exactly five years and two months after God gave me a vision of my husband.
God’s hand was everywhere throughout our courtship!
I am not kidding when I tell you that God considered my desires and every promise He made me. God blessed me with the man He gave me the vision for. My husband, Jeremy, has qualities that I forgot I had desires around. Just yesterday, I remembered my teenage desire for a man who played a musical instrument. Guess who sings, plays instruments, and wants to learn to play even more?
We pulled off our wedding in about a week. 80+ of our loved ones joined us on Zoom. This whole thing was another miracle you can watch here.
God used our story to teach me a couple of things…
- He keeps His promises.
- He cares about my desires
- He knows what I desire, and He knows what I need
- He can do more in three months than I can do in years.
- He is a good Father who gives good gifts.
On our two-month anniversary (April 15, 2 days before my 32nd birthday), we shared our story from Jeremy’s and my perspective. You can watch the story here.

I’m sharing all this because this season has been a powerful reminder that our Heavenly Father is a man of His word. He is a dad who loves His children and wants the best for them, even when it comes to marriage and our spouses. Most importantly, He knows what is best for each of us way better than we know what is best for ourselves.
He did well for me, and He can do well for you too in every area of your life. I see Him at work every day in my life. My pink flamingo friend, your Heavenly Father loves you and cares about the details of your life. Trust His timing.
